The 2021 edition of Warwick ASEAN Conference engaged delegates in meaningful discourses revolving around issues of the pandemic and its imminent impact on the future job opportunies within ASEAN. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in dialogues with embassy representatives from across ASEAN, guest speakers and corportate firms representing a multiplicity of sectors, ranging from finance to banking, investment, the public sector and so much more!

Today marks the first day of the long-anticipated Warwick Asean Conference (WAC), and it was truly worth the wait! Day 1 of the Conference was broken down into 2 sessions; the first session consisted of the highly esteemed and impressive youth panel, who shared insights and personal anecdotes into the entrepreneurial world.
Day 2 Blog
Day 2 of the Warwick Asean Conference (WAC) was equally as stimulating as the first with discussions circulating around the contemporary issues affecting the ASEAN region and the widespread impacts of COVID-19 on economies and the next generation. The second day was arranged into 3 sessions; the first was an economics and politics panel consisting of 4 experts providing valuable insight into the contemporary political and business issues of ASEAN.
Cultural Night
On February 20, 2021, Warwick ASEAN Conference (WAC) organised our very first Warwick ASEAN Cultural Night to showcase Southeast Asia’s diverse cultures and celebrate the region’s multiplicity of cultures and traditions. The event featured musical performances, which allowed our audience to admire the intricacies of each country’s cultural heritage and traditions.
Networking with CUSEAS & KCL
This year, WAC also strived to connect with our fellow counterparts across the UK, by putting together an inaugural virtual networking session with King’s College London and the University of Cambridge. This virtual event consisted of a panel discussion followed by a networking session with corporate representatives from various industries, complete with networking booths set up in a careers fair format.
Great ASEAN Quiz
Warwick ASEAN Conference kicked off with a fantastic start to the academic year by hosting the Great ASEAN Quiz on the 28th of November. With more participants from the Southeast Asian community in Warwick and beyond, the virtual event took place from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm, whereby contestants had their chance to showcase their knowledge of Southeast Asia through Kahoot.
